Sudtirol is preparing for the next season with a new director of sports. Matteo Lovisa, who has left Lecce, has been hired by the club. Lovisa has done a great job with Juve Stabia, but Lecce wants to point to another 'old fox' of Italian football. Guido Angelozzi seems to be on the horizon to fill the void left by the magician of Vernole, Pantaleo Corvino. The ds has separated from Cagliari after just one season and, among the candidates of President Saverio Sticchi Damiani, he is the only director of sports available. For Angelozzi, it would be a return to Salento after his first experience of almost 4 years in giallorosso, lived from December 7, 2005 to September 14, 2009. Under the management of Semeraro, the catanese ds obtained a promotion to Serie A, but unfortunately also 2 painful relegations to B. A name that does not warm the hearts of the fans and that perhaps does not convince even the society of via Colonnello Costadura, but by Tuesday 9 June with Lovisa at SudTirol and Sogliano who seemed to want to continue his path together with Hellas Verona, the time is always getting closer. It's useless to deny it: the chosen one of Saverio Sticchi Damiani was and remains Sean Sogliano for experience, prestige and charisma. But in this moment the Piedmontese director seems always more distant from Salento. The director has a contract expiring on June 30, 2027, but the scaligero club has proposed a renewal until June 30, 2029 and the agreement would be very close to being defined. As reported by several authoritative sources, contacts between Sogliano and Lecce have been made, but the director of Verona seems always more inclined to accept the renewal of the contract proposed by Hellas in the purgatory of Serie B. Ciro Polito is another ds very appreciated by the giallorosso club for what he has done and is doing in Catanzaro, but in this moment Angelozzi is in pole for the after-Corvino.
